The Columbia Gorge Arts and Culture Alliance (CGACA) supports and promotes a large, diverse and highly creative arts, culture and heritage community along the ‘State of the Gorge’ Oregon/Washington border.  This website and our e-news (sign-up here) are resources for connecting visitors and local residents with information on arts and culture events taking place in the Gorge.

Columbia Gorge Wine & Pear Fest

Raise your glass and join us for this annual Wine & Pear Tasting event held in the heart of Hood River’s Wine and Pear Country, and join the celebration of local area products.

 Start off the weekend with friends and fun featuring Columbia Gorge wineries and eateries. Highlights include entertainment, live music, wine tasting, great food, fruit exhibits with samples, and local artisans.

Proceeds go to the Rotary Club of Hood River Scholarship Program, funding scholarships to area youth for higher education.

Suzy Kitman at Wine & Pear Festival

Join Portland artist Suzy Kitman in celebrating the bounty of the Columbia Gorge at the festivities of Hood River’s annual Wine & Pear Fest. Suzy will be revealing brand new pear and vineyard paintings, displaying her renowned wine still lifes, and hosting live painting demonstrations to add to her sensual Big Fruit series.

Kitman’s vineyard and wine-inspired artwork is full of texture and rich color, capturing the nuanced allure of her subjects. Enjoy Kitman’s work along with local wine and pears at the historic the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum. 

Kitman has received national recognition for her life-like portraits, charcoal drawings, and still life paintings. Recently, she was a featured artist at the Cannon Beach Gallery and this summer her work will be displayed at Portland’s Froelick Gallery, Beaverton City Hall, and RCC FireHouse Gallery.  Kitman currently lives and works in Portland, OR where she welcomes commissions, teaches, and offers private tutorials in her studio.  More of her art can be seen at suzykitman.com  or contact Suzy directly with inquiries or requests.

Fort Dalles Museum and the Anderson House

Take a tour of Fort Dalles and the Anderson House with our unique collection of pioneer and military artifacts and antique wagons at one of the old west’s most pivotal places in history.  Bring friends and children to enjoy the historic buildings and beautiful grounds of Oregon’s oldest history museum, and join us in the fun!  You will enjoy viewing our exhibits and walking on the grounds of this military fort, built during the 1800s.

Museum Admission:
Adults $5.
Seniors (55 and up) $4.
Students 7-17 $1.00
6 & under FREE

If you would like to or schedule a group tour, email us or give us a call at 541-296-4547. We will do our utmost to accommodate your needs. Please make a reservation if you would like us to provide an interpreter for Spanish speaking guests.
